Fire door surveying, remedial works and new fire door set installations in London.
Fire Door Surveying & Remedial Works
Following successful fire door remedial works at Theatre Royal in Windsor in 2022, Pro-Passive Fire Safety was instructed to complete a Fire Door Survey at The Other Palace in London.
The survey identified a number of damaged fire doors. Our team then completed remedial works and installed new fire door sets where required, with the programme planned to keep the theatre operating efficiently.

The Other Palace has a long history, beginning as Charlotte Chapel in 1766 before later becoming a cinema and theatre. The current theatre opened as St. James Theatre in 2012 and reopened as The Other Palace in 2017.
A full schedule of works was put in place so the client could see the estimated completion date. All remedial works were completed in four weeks, with the new fire door sets installed in one day.

The completed works focused on restoring the condition and performance of the fire doors so the theatre could continue to operate with its passive fire protection maintained.
